In 1969, The Ohio Matchbook Company came out with this series of Zodiac sign matchbooks. Although they did not list the designer of their 1969 Designer Series paper matchbook covers, their inspiration was obviously Peter Max. No evidence exists that Max was involved with the designs, despite a few examples online making that attribution.
These have been scanned and retouched from the original matchbooks. Groovy.
