In the 1970s, the Big Apple was a warehouse-sized club just outside of Akron in Peninsula, Ohio. Besides being a dance club, it showcased live music from up-and-coming bands around the country.
In the 80's it became the Akron Agora, then it was a country place called the Boot Scootin' Saloon. It closed for good in 2004.
