The Magic Twanger was a rock club in Boardman Ohio in the 90s and into the 2000s. Not sure when it closed.
The name and logo was an obvious take on the phrase "Plunk your magic twanger, Froggy!", which is atrributed to Froggy the Gremlin- a character created by Ed McConnell and brought to radio in the 1940s and television in 1950s on the Smilin' Ed's Gang show, and later Andy's Gang TV show, hosted by actor Andy Devine after McConnell's death.
The matchbook used for this Tshirt is from the 1990s.
