Pete's Wayside Inn was a historic structure in the suburbs of Cleveland from the 1920s through at least the 1950s. One recollection is that they had a great chicken paprikash.
There is a record of a "New Pete's Wayside Inn" corporation which tried to register in the 1980s. However, the corporation was cancelled in 1988.
Nothing much remains of the site now. However, there is a retaining wall there that has been decorated and painted by the students of nearby Brooklyn High School. The retaining wall features a rendering of the Pete’s Wayside Inn building.
The matchbook used for this Tshirt is from the 1930s.
