The Detroit Race Track (Course) was in Livonia, Michigan, a suburb northwest of Detroit. It consisted of a racing track and stables for horses, and facilities for trainers, exercise workers, and jockeys.

It was opened in 1950,  but after facing stiff competion from other casinos (Windsor), the last races were run in 1998. In 1999 it was demolished.

The matchbook cover for this T-shirt is from the 1950s era.
