In the 1930s, the Bendix-Westinghouse Automotive Air Brake Company was established following the merger of Bendix Corp. and Westinghouse Automotive Air Brake. Its headquarters weere located in Wilmerding, Pa. The headquarters were moved to Elyria, Ohio in 1941.
