In Northeast Ohio, Kent was a national hotbed of top-notch rock bands and nightlife in its peak years of 1965–1975.
Such notable acts included the James Gang, a band led by iconic Joe Wash, Glass Harp, the Raspberries, and Devo, were frequently playing around town, while Chrissie Hynde (The Pretenders) and Chris Butler (The Waitresses) were living in Kent waiting for their big breaks.
Kent was a mecca for music. And JBs was the place to see it.
