In 1873, John F. Byers opened the John F. Byers Machine Company in Ravenna, Ohio. Located on where he began building various type of equipment for the construction industry.
There is a very cool home just south of Ravenna called "Byers’ Castle" which was built in 1905 and is listed in the National Register of Historic Place
