The Commodore Hotel served as ‘the’ place to stay for many years if you were visiting Toledo. Opened in 1927, the hotel’s operating performance deteriorated starting in the late 1950s, and a total of nearly $4,000,000 had been lost over this period. The Commodore annouced its closing in November 1980.
