Adrian Rollini was child prodigy on piano. At 14 he led own band in New York, doubling piano and xylophone. He specialised on bass sax for several years as well.
He traveled with various groups through the 1940s, and then settled in the Florida Keys to open The Driftwood Lodge (in Tavernier) until he passed away in the mid 1950s.
Unfortunately, the remains of the old Driftwood Inn were completely destroyed in a hurricane that rocked the Florida keys in 1960.
